locators
-
Leica X-PAD allows to survey GNSS points while operating a cable locator.
-
When operating a cable locator is possible to record cable locator information (cable locator working mode, recorded depth) in parallel with coordinates measured by the GNSS receiver.
-
Pressing the button on the cable locator to log the current information also records the GNSS position in X-PAD.
An active locator profile must be defined that is used to acquire the depth values, see Creating a profile for cable detector.
-
Open the Survey page.
-
Select Survey points.
-
X-PAD automatically connects to the current GNSS receiver and cable locator. If the locator profile is active in the GNSS survey window, a toolbar with the locator current working mode is visible.
-
Press the LOG key of the locator to send the measured value of depth and working mode to X-PAD.
-
The software captures the depth and stores a new point using the current GNSS position.
